Sending Photos

During a telephone consultation, we may ask you to send us an image of the area of concern (usually a rash or skin lesion).

We have strict guidelines for requesting, receiving, storing, and deleting these images to ensure patient safety.

Please do not send any images without the explicit request of one of our team members. Any images sent without the express permission of a clinician will be deleted. Please do not send images of, or including, intimate areas.
General Tips

Please provide us with a minimum of two photos. The first photo should be a close-up shot, capturing the details of the area you are concerned about. The second photo should be taken from a further distance, enabling us to identify the specific part of your body being photographed.

Please ensure the photo is in focus and not blurry.

Please ensure the background is plain and unobtrusive.

Consider different views and angles, and take extra pictures as needed.

Please ensure sufficient lighting is used or use flash on your camera.

Placing a ruler next to the lesion can help in illustrating its size.

Please exercise caution when capturing images to ensure that intimate areas are not included.
